We have been looking at Piet Mondrian's abstract art style. We practiced creating our our Mondrian inspired art using only red, yellow, blue and white. We used black lines to outline each shape. We used squares and rectangles of differing sizes. We arranged our shapes to create an image that was balanced. This activity took longer to complete than we expected.

This is our Calendar Art. We looked at the work of different artists including Piet Mondrian, Jackson Pollock and of course, Vincent Van Gogh.
