Room 21's Class Blog

We are learning to talk about our ideas in maths. We are learning to listen to each other and ask others for support when we don't understand. We know that everybody has something valuable to contribute in each discussion.  Our teacher was very proud that we persevered even when it was challenging.  Our teacher was very happy to see us collaborating and sharing our ideas about our learning.  Ka pai Room 21.

  We are sharing our ideas about the New Windsor Way competencies including confident, collaborative, creative, responsible, respectful and resilient. 

 We were lucky to be given some great resources by our parents in our community that helped us in our understanding of Chinese New Year celebrations. We learned about how the animals that represent each year of the zodiac. We learned that the emperor held a race where animals crossed the river. The first 12 across the river had years of the zodiac named after them. The most common animals represented in our class are the tiger, the rabbit and the dragon. Ms Corbett really want to be born in the year of the dragon, however, she was born in the year of the dog.
