Identifying our learning barriers

We have been learning to share our ideas in groups to solve Maths problems. This has been hard for some of us. It can be scary to share idea's and sometimes we feel nervous to make a mistake.

One way we are working through this is to identify some of the barriers that are stopping us form learning in Maths.  We created rivers with our barriers that we identified in the river.  Here are some of the rivers we have created.

Our next step will be to choose one barrier and think about ways we could remove the barrier or work around it.  We will continue to work through each barrier until we have removed all of our learning barriers.

  1. Wow!
Maths certainly has changed since I was at Primary School.
I love the visuals that you are showcasing on your classroom blog.
Working around how we can remove barriers in our learning which is also known as problem solving, is a great skill to have.
Keep up the good work you are doing using your problem solving stratgies Rm 21.
    regards,

Calendar Art

For our calendar art, we studied what makes a great photo. We looked at different techniques: fill the frame, rule of thirds, lines frame the shot, high angle, low angle and horizon lines. After planning our shot we took photos. Can you see the different photo techniques? Last day to order calendars: Friday 23rd September.
